Placement Policy

The Placement Policy of Global Institute of Technology & Management (GITM) is designed to provide a structured framework for campus recruitment, ensuring transparency, fairness, and equal opportunity for all eligible students. The Training & Placement Cell acts as a bridge between students and the corporate world, facilitating internships and final placements in reputed organizations.

This policy outlines the roles, responsibilities, procedures, eligibility criteria, and code of conduct governing the placement process.

Objectives of the Placement Policy

  • To provide maximum placement opportunities to eligible students.
  • To maintain strong and sustainable industry–institute relationships.
  • To ensure a fair, transparent, and merit-based recruitment process.
  • To prepare students for industry requirements through structured training.
  • To uphold the reputation and credibility of GITM among recruiters.

Internship Policy

  • Summer internships are mandatory as per academic curriculum (where applicable).
  • The Placement Cell facilitates internship opportunities but does not guarantee placement in a specific organization.
  • Students must submit internship completion certificates and reports as required by the university.

Pre-Placement Training & Preparation

All eligible students are required to participate in:

  • Aptitude & Reasoning Training
  • Technical Skill Enhancement Sessions
  • Communication & Soft Skills Development
  • Resume Writing Workshops
  • Mock Group Discussions & Interviews
  • Corporate Etiquette Training

One Student – One Offer Policy (Recommended Model)

To ensure equal opportunity:

  • A student placed in a company offering a package above a defined benchmark may not be allowed to participate in further drives (subject to institutional guidelines).
  • Students may be allowed to upgrade once based on salary/package criteria.
  • Dream/ Super Dream company definitions (if applicable) will be notified separately.

Code of Conduct for Students

Students participating in placement activities must:

  • Maintain formal dress code during recruitment drives.
  • Report on time for all placement-related activities.
  • Avoid misrepresentation of academic or personal information.
  • Not withdraw from a selection process after shortlisting.
  • Not reject an offer without valid reason once accepted.

Registration Mandatory

The professional education aims at securing excellent industry placements and aligning careers with preferred roles, brands, and compensation packages.
