NOTE

  • A maximum 10% of total seats in each Course shall be offered under the above scheme.
  • The students admitted under the scholarship schemes shall have to maintain a minimum of 75% percentage in each semester. If the student fails to do so, then the scholarship scheme will be withdrawn automatically without giving the student any notice.
  • The above merit scholarships shall be available only if some vacant seats are available after the award of the scholarship.
  • The management's decision regarding the scholarship scheme will be final and binding.

  • Student belongs to the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
  • Pursuing a general degree course in engineering and medical studies.
  • Pursuing the course in an institution located outside the state of J&K.
  • Who has passed the class XII or equivalent exam from the J&K Board or CBSE.
  • Income ceiling will be below Rs 6,00,000/–per annum.
  • Aadhar linked bank a ⁄ c details of the student
  • Photocopy of Aadhar card
Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme for dependent wards/widows of ex–serviceman ⁄ Ex–Indian coast guard and their widows
  • Students should have scored 60% and above in minimum educational qualification i.e., 10 + 2 ⁄ Diploma ⁄ Graduation.
  • Students who are dependent wards/widows of ex–servicemen and ex–coast guard personnel who died in harness ⁄ disabled due to causes attributable to military service/post-guard service, irrespective of the rank.
  • Dependent wards of ex–servicemen/ex–coast guard and their widows (below office rank only).
  • Aadhar linked bank a ⁄ c details of the student
  • Photocopy of Aadhar card
Ishan Uday (for the students who belong to North Eastern States)
  • Students with the domicile of NER who have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent exam from a school situated within NER through any recognized board and have secured admission in degree courses under-recognized institutes within and outside the states of NER.
  • The income of the parents should not exceed Rs. 4.5 lakh per annum.
  • Certificate of income by the competent authority for the state government in which the student is domiciled.
  • Domicile State certificate by the competent Authority.
  • Affidavit on Rs. 50 ⁄ – stamp paper from the student – parent duly attested by SDM ⁄ First Class Magistrate – Gazetted Officer (not below the rank of Tehsildar) for not availing any other scholarship.
  • Aadhar-linked bank a/c details of the student.
  • Photocopy of Aadhar card.

We also offer various other scholarships to our students to help them excel in their careers.

Alumni Scholarship Policy

The students who seek admission to GITM for post-graduation programs after qualifying for a degree/diploma from the Institute are provided a scholarship equivalent to 10% of the semester fee for the entire duration of the course.

Sibling Scholarship

The Institute offers a 10% concession on the semester fee to one of the siblings studying in GITM till both siblings are studying in the Institute.

Concession to Girl Sibling

GITM provides a 10% concession on the semester fee to both female siblings for the entire duration of the course.

Scholarship for sports person

The following scholarship schemes for the sportspersons of various categories have been formulated.

‘O’ Category – Special Scholarship, free stay, free food & 100%- semester fee Concession.

‘A’ Category – Free stay, free food & 100% semester fee Concession.

‘B’ Category – Gold Medal 100%, Silver Medal 75%, Bronze Medal 50% semester fee concession.

‘C’ Category – Gold Medal 75%, Silver Medal 65%, Bronze Medal 50% semester fee Concession.

‘D’ Category – 100% semester fee for the next Session.

SPORTS QUOTA FOR ADMISSION:

Sports Quota for admission

  • Only 2% of total seats in each course/ discipline may be offered for sports admission.
  • Individual events will be preferred for admission.
  • Concession can be revised after one year as per performance level.

Criteria for selection procedure in sports quota

  • Students must submit their graduation certificates.
  • Verification of certificates will be carried out by in-charges. 
  • Students have to appear for performance trials conducted by the institute.
  • Last two years performance Certificates will be considered only for above mentioned concessions.
  • Final decision for admission will be taken by the Director of Sports.
