GITM Organizes Expert Session on Raising Capital & Financial Management for Start-Ups
Gurugram, Haryana | 6 May 2026: Reinforcing its commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, Global Institute of Technology and Management (GITM), Gurugram, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), successfully organized an expert session on “Raising Capital & Financial Management for Start-Ups” at the Incubation Center, C1 Block, GITM Campus.
The session was delivered by Mr. Amit Misra, Associate Professor, who provided students, aspiring entrepreneurs, and startup enthusiasts with practical insights into securing funding and managing finances effectively. The workshop focused on helping participants understand the financial foundation required to build sustainable and scalable startups in today’s competitive business environment.
During the session, Mr. Misra explained various startup funding options, including bootstrapping, angel investors, venture capital, bank loans, crowdfunding, and government startup schemes. He also emphasized the importance of financial planning, budgeting, cash flow management, financial forecasting, investment readiness, and risk management for long-term business success. Students actively participated in discussions and gained valuable knowledge on preparing investor-ready business plans and making informed financial decisions.
