Mastering the Art of the Interview: Strategic Insights with PLACD

The transition from academic life to a professional career is often defined by a single, high-stakes moment: the job interview. Understanding the anxiety and uncertainty that many students face, GITM organized a high-impact seminar on “Why Most Students Fail in Interviews – And How You Can Win.” We were privileged to host Mr. Ashish Gupta from PLACD, who brought years of corporate wisdom to our Swami Vivekanand Auditorium. Rather than offering generic advice, Mr. Gupta provided a surgical analysis of common pitfalls—from poor non-verbal communication to the inability to translate technical projects into business value. The session was a transformative experience for our final-year students, offering them a “winner’s playbook” that emphasized self-awareness, strategic preparation, and the confidence to articulate their unique value propositions.
