Surya Namaskar Activity at GITM – Promoting Health, Harmony and Holistic Well-Being (5th February)
On 5th February 2026, Global Institute of Technology & Management (GITM) organized a refreshing and energizing Surya Namaskar Activity on campus to promote physical fitness, mental wellness, and a balanced lifestyle among students and faculty members. The event was conducted with great enthusiasm and active participation, reflecting GITM’s commitment to holistic development beyond academics.
The session began in the early hours of the morning in the serene campus environment, where students and faculty gathered to perform the twelve powerful postures of Surya Namaskar under expert guidance. The synchronized movements, rhythmic breathing, and disciplined coordination created a positive and vibrant atmosphere across the campus.
Surya Namaskar, known as the “Salutation to the Sun,” is a complete workout that enhances flexibility, strengthens muscles, improves concentration, and promotes inner peace. Through this activity, GITM aimed to encourage students to adopt healthy habits and incorporate yoga into their daily routine to manage stress and maintain overall well-being.
The activity concluded with a brief interaction session highlighting the benefits of yoga and the importance of regular practice. Participants expressed their appreciation for the initiative and shared positive feedback about the refreshing start to their day.
At GITM, we believe that a healthy body fosters a healthy mind. The Surya Namaskar Activity on 5th February stands as a testament to our dedication toward nurturing disciplined, energetic, and well-rounded individuals prepared to excel both professionally and personally.
