Skill Development & Career Initiatives- 3 September 2025
A seminar on Skill Development for Effective Interviews was conducted at the Global Institute of Technology & Management (GITM) on 3 September 2025 with the objective of enhancing students’ employability skills and preparing them for competitive recruitment processes. The session was conducted by Ms. Nitika, through whom an informative and engaging presentation on the essential skills required to succeed in professional interviews was delivered.
During the seminar, the importance of interview etiquette, effective communication skills, confidence building, and professional presentation was emphasized. Students were guided on creating a positive first impression and maintaining professionalism throughout the interview process. Practical insights related to resume handling, appropriate body language, voice modulation, and effective responses to common interview questions were shared.
Strategies for handling stress, improving self-confidence, and responding to situational and behavioral questions with clarity and impact were also discussed by the resource person. Active participation was demonstrated by students through questions and discussions based on real-life interview scenarios.
The seminar was found to be highly beneficial in equipping students with the practical knowledge and confidence required for interviews. A significant contribution was made toward preparing students for campus placements and future career opportunities. The session was concluded with an interactive feedback segment, through which students were left motivated and better prepared to face professional interviews successfully.
