Seminar on Angel Investment & Venture Capital
A Seminar on Angel Investment and Venture Capital Funding was successfully organized by the Global Institute of Technology & Management (GITM) in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) on 27th August 2025. The session was conducted by Dr. Umesha K., through whom comprehensive insights into the startup funding ecosystem were provided.
During the seminar, various stages of funding—ranging from seed capital to venture funding—were explained, and key investor expectations such as innovation potential, market scalability, and business sustainability were highlighted. Practical aspects related to pitching, valuation, and financial planning for startups were also addressed in detail.
A clear understanding of entrepreneurial finance and strategic funding decisions essential for startup growth was gained by the students. Through the interactive session, financial literacy, innovation awareness, and entrepreneurial readiness were enhanced among participants. Overall, the programme was aligned with NAAC quality benchmarks and reinforced GITM’s commitment to fostering an innovation-driven academic environment.
