Anchoring Competition at GITM – Celebrating the Art of Expression
On 6th February 2026, the campus of Global Institute of Technology & Management (GITM) came alive with enthusiasm, confidence, and vibrant energy as the Institute successfully organized an Anchoring Competition for its students. The event was designed to nurture communication skills, stage confidence, spontaneity, and professional presentation abilities among budding leaders and managers.
The competition witnessed active participation from students across various departments, reflecting GITM’s commitment to holistic personality development alongside academic excellence. Participants showcased their talent by presenting mock event scenarios, introducing dignitaries, handling audience engagement, and managing situational tasks just like professional anchors. The creativity, clarity of speech, voice modulation, presence of mind, and command over language displayed by the students were truly commendable.
The event was judged by esteemed faculty members who evaluated participants on parameters such as confidence, articulation, content delivery, body language, audience engagement, and overall stage presence. Each participant brought a unique style to the stage—some impressed with their humor and spontaneity, while others captivated the audience with their professionalism and elegance.
The competition not only enhanced public speaking abilities but also encouraged students to overcome stage fear and develop leadership qualities. Such activities align with GITM’s vision of producing industry-ready professionals equipped with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
