Admission Guidelines for International Students
Important Information Related to Admissions
International applicants seeking admission to Global Institute of Technology & Management (GITM), Gurugram, are advised to carefully read and comply with the following guidelines before applying:
- Applicants must carefully read and understand the eligibility criteria, admission procedure, fee structure, academic regulations, scholarship policies, and other information published on the official GITM website from time to time.
- Admission to all programmes shall be granted strictly on the basis of academic merit, fulfilment of eligibility requirements, document verification, and approval by the Admission Committee of Global Institute of Technology & Management (GITM).
- Meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee admission. Admission shall be subject to seat availability, programme-specific requirements, and approval of the competent authority.
- The Admission Committee reserves the right to revise eligibility criteria, admission requirements, or close admissions for any programme once the sanctioned intake is filled.
- Candidates must ensure that all information provided in the application form is accurate and complete. Any false declaration, forged document, or suppression of facts shall result in cancellation of admission at any stage of the admission process.
- Shortlisted applicants will receive a Provisional Admission Offer Letter through their registered email address. Applicants should regularly check their inbox, spam, and junk folders for important communication.
- The offer of admission shall remain provisional until all original documents have been verified, eligibility has been confirmed, and the prescribed admission fee has been paid within the stipulated time.
- International applicants are responsible for monitoring all admission-related communications, deadlines, fee payment schedules, orientation dates, and academic announcements issued by GITM.
- Candidates must possess a valid passport throughout the admission process and the duration of their studies in India.
- Applicants who have completed their qualifying examination from a foreign board, university, or institution must obtain an Equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), wherever applicable, before final registration.
- All academic transcripts, certificates, and supporting documents not issued in English must be accompanied by certified English translations.
- Applicants must submit clear and legible scanned copies of all required documents, including:
- Passport
- Recent passport-size photograph
- Academic transcripts and certificates
- Proof of date of birth
- Equivalence Certificate (if applicable)
- English language proficiency certificate (if applicable)
- Student Visa (before joining)
- Any additional documents requested by the Institute.
- Applicants whose previous education was not conducted in English may be required to demonstrate English language proficiency through internationally recognized tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE Academic, or any equivalent examination as prescribed by the Institute.
- International students are required to obtain a valid Student Visa issued by the Government of India before reporting to the Institute. Admission cannot be finalized without a valid Student Visa.
- Students must comply with the regulations of the Government of India, the Department of Higher Education, Government of Haryana, AICTE, UGC, and other statutory authorities, wherever applicable.
- The Institute reserves the right to reject any application that does not satisfy the prescribed admission requirements or contains incomplete or misleading information.
- All fees paid towards admission shall be governed by the Institute’s fee refund policy in force at the time of admission.
- The decision of the Admission Committee and the competent authorities of Global Institute of Technology & Management shall be final and binding in all matters relating to admissions.
Important Note
International students are advised not to make travel arrangements until they receive the official Admission Offer Letter and complete all admission formalities.
