The college follows an inclusive teaching practice that includes Experiential learning, Traditional Classroom teaching, In-house and external Workshops, Industry lectures and visits, Projects and Seminars that provides a lot of exposure to the students and helps them become employable engineers. The teaching learning includes classroom teaching, online classes, lab sessions as well as practical projects.
INNOVATIONS IN TEACHING
The traditional methods of teaching have limited usage and attraction in todays world. GITM believes in innovative teaching methods to uphold high standards of teaching learning process.
INNOVATIONS IN ICT
Classrooms are equipped with projectors, computers and network connections for computers based teaching. The curriculum includes, besides regular courses, courses from online media such as Swayam, CoursEra etc. Digital libraries and journals are accessible to faculty members and students for teaching and research purposes. Online delivery through Webex and Google Hangout Meet is also available for remote participants.
INNOVATIONS IN INSTRUCTIONAL DELIVERY
Besides traditional chalk and board delivery, GITM faculty also believes in innovation in instructional delivery. Working models, Concepts based delivery, Brainstorming, participative workshops etc are all included as a part of instructional delivery process at GITM.ng
INNOVATIONS IN ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION
Google forms, Computer based Assessments and online tests are all part of innovative assessment techniques used at GITM to provide smooth assessment and evaluations to students. GITM is also in the process of evaluating mobile phones based assessments such as SAFE from IITB. Other assessment methods include:
