The department follows an inclusive teaching practice that includes experiential learning, traditional classroom teaching, in-house and external workshops, industry lectures, visits, projects, and seminars that provide the right exposure to the students and help them grow in their careers.

Learning Process

With a solid foundation and problem- solving techniques, students are well equipped to adapt to rapid changes in the computing world.Our learning process allows our students to develop a solid foundation and implement problem-solving techniques in the real world. Our lecture plans are carefully prepared to impart the best of knowledge in every sphere of CSE. Our faculty prepare their lecture plan and course file to ease the understanding of student. The Department has the proud privilege of having exceptionally qualified, dedicated and scholastic faculty members who leave no stone unturned to make our students’ dreams come true.

Seminars and workshops are organized at regular intervals where eminent academicians and industry stalwarts share their experiences and thoughts with students and faculty members. These seminars/workshops and periodic training are conducted on and off campus to help students be aware of new research areas and current trends in industry practices.

Innovative Teaching

Our inclusive learning methodologies address the needs of students with different learning styles and abilities. The CSE department believes in innovative teaching methods to uphold the standards of the teaching-learning process and bring out the best in students.

ICT Driven Learning

Our classrooms are equipped with projectors, computers and network connections for effective learning. Online expert video lectures like NPTEL, SWAYAM & other referred resources are readily available to our faculty and students. In addition, digital libraries and journals are accessible to faculty members and students for teaching and research purposes.

INNOVATIONS IN INSTRUCTIONAL DELIVERY

Besides traditional chalk and board delivery, GITM faculty also believes in innovation in instructional delivery. Working models, Concepts Based Delivery, Brainstorming, participative workshops etc are all included as a part of instructional delivery process at GITM.ng

INNOVATIONS IN ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION

Google forms, Computer based Assessments and online tests are all part of innovative assessment techniques used at GITM to provide smooth assessment and evaluations to students. GITM is also in the process of evaluating mobile phones based assessments such as SAFE from IITB.
